Kevin Kasha has been a key player in the entertainment industry for more than two decades, overseeing acquisitions, production and programming for some of Hollywood's leading independent studios. He joined Anchor Bay Films - the newly created feature division of Anchor Bay Entertainment - in 2008 as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions. As part of the new executive team, Kasha is responsible for spearheading the company's aggressive acquisition efforts and entry into the theatrical marketplace. Since joining the team, Kasha acquired such notable Anchor Bay Films titles as the Ashton Kutcher-starrer, Spread, which was the biggest acquisition to come out of this year's Sundance Film Festival. He also championed the acquisition of the Andy Garcia vehicle, City Island, The Open Road starring Jeff Bridges and Justin Timberlake, Not Forgotten starring Simon Baker and Solitary Man with Michael Douglas. Most recently, Kasha oversaw the company's partnership with the world's fastest growing sports organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®), to distribute their wildly popular UFC brand releases on DVD and Blu-Ray® formats . Prior to joining Anchor Bay, Kasha held the post of Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Programming for New Line Home Entertainment where he championed the acquisition of such key New Line titles as Havoc starring Anne Hathaway, Running Scared with Paul Walker, Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, as well as sequels to The Butterfly Effect, Undisputed, Poison Ivy and The Cell. Kasha also previously served as Executive Vice President of Miramax Home Entertainment, reporting directly to Bob and Harvey Weinstein. During his six-year term, Kasha guided many of the company's quality films to success in the home entertainment marketplace. Responsible for all of Miramax and Dimension Home Entertainment's programming, his tenure saw such hits as Pulp Fiction, the Spy Kids franchise, The Scream Trilogy, Chicago, Kill Bill 1&2 and the Scary Movie franchise, among others.
